One: the start
HELLO!!
Welcome to Kendall Nikole and Company! We are so glad you found us. I am Kendall Buss, the owner of Kendall Nikole and Company. I started this small business in 2020 when I was a junior in high school… a class called “CEO” (creating entreprnuerial opportunities) allowed and encouraged me to do this. At the end of the class, each of us students had to embark on our own entreprneurial excursion. Coming up with different ideas was challenging and yet fun at the same time. My grandma, Jo, brought up the idea of getting a laser to me. This seemed crazy and way over my head but we did lots of research and secured the Glowforge Pro! Before this, I had known nothing about lasers and I was extremely intimidated to use one. The laser took several months to ship but when it arrived we were eager to get started. I am extremely thankful we were able to start with a Glowforge as it is user friendly and easy to learn. When I started, my original plan was to make round signs and keychains. Plans change and I am glad they do. I am now making ALL different types of home decor. My grandma and I started buying SVG files on Etsy and soon began creating our own. Kendall Nikole and Company is a unique laser business because we design our own files. Being creative and designing something that my customers love makes me the happiest. We are able to sell our product in the following ways: craft fairs, TONS of custom signs, and crafting parties. They are all so fun in their own way and allow me to meet tons of cool people. The best way for me to learn new things is through trial & error and also asking different vendors at different craft fairs questions.
A little bit about me!
I am currently a sophomore at Saint Cloud State majoring in Accounting and minoring in real estate. I also play softball for Saint Cloud State. I love everything to do with houses and I am a realtor for Land and Home Realty in Luverne, Minnesota. In the summers, I coach softball and travel around to different craft fairs. I enjoy going to craft fairs whether I am in them or not. I love fitness and challenging myself. I recently joined a CrossFit gym and it was the best decision ever! Whenever I am home for college I love to design and create things on the laser. My passion is helping peoples ideas come to life. I love communicating with the customer and figuring out just what they are looking for.
